A Rainbow Dress For Anne (R32x4) 4C, Méaudre Reel 2023 devised by Lise Marchand1- 8 1s and 2s dance RH across, while 3s and 4 dance LH across all set and link to finish all on side lines (2143), with 1L and 4L facing down, 1M and 4M facing up
9-16 Alternating Tandem RSh Reel of 3 on side lines, with 1s and 4s overtaking one another to finish with 4L followed by 1L facing 2M and 1M followed by 4M facing 3L
17-24 Alternating Tandem Half RSh Reel of 4 in diagonal, with the leading couples passing one another LSh, before starting another Alternating Tandem Half RSh Reel of 4 in the 2nd diagonal (1L followed by 4L facing 3M, while 4M followed by 1M facing 2L), all finishing on side lines on opposite sides (3412)
25-32 4s and 1s turn RH 1½ times while 3s and 2s half chase clockwise to exchange places, all finishing on side lines (2413) 2s and 4s, 1s and 3s, all dance 4 Hands round to the left

This dance was created in response to a promise I made to Anne Dejean, a SCD teacher, who unfortunately left us far too soon in July 2022, following a diagnosis of cancer. Anne was a bubbly and sparkling person, luminous, always smiling. She had the most incredible rainbow coloured dresses and would always tell me where she had bought them. So, enjoy the reels, her favourite formation !(Dance information by the deviser, Lise Marchand, 2023)
