3-couple dance in 3-couple longways set

  1-8   ½ REELS OF 4: 2nd couple dance ½ reels of 4 with 1st corners and then with 2nd corners; 2nd couple pass left shoulders on bar 1 and right shoulders as they pass one another in the middle on bars 4-5;

  9-16 3-COUPLE SET AND LINK TWICE: 3rd, 2nd and 1st couples set and link twice:

17-24 3-COUPLE WHEELIE CHAIN: dance four successive 3-handed wheels each halfway round right, left, right, left: this is similar to a Grand Chain but with ½ 3- handed wheels
Bars 17-18: ½ right hand wheel, 1st woman-1st man-2nd man, 2nd woman-3rd woman-3rd man,
Bars 19-20: ½ left hand wheel, 1st woman-3rd woman-2nd woman, 3rd man-1st man-2nd man,
Bars 21-22: ½ right hand wheel, 1st woman-1st man-2nd man, 3rd man-3rd woman- 2nd woman,
Bars 23-24: ½ left hand wheel, 1st woman-3rd woman-2nd woman, 3rd man-1st man- 2nd man
N.B. 1st and 2nd men and 2nd and 3rd women dance clockwise round the set as 1st woman and 3rd man dance anticlockwise round the set;

25-32 LOOP PROGRESSION: 2nd couple followed by 1st couple dance down the middle, divide and cast up around the 3rd couple, 2nd couple dancing up the side to 1st place followed by 1st couple who end in 2nd place (4 bars): then 1st couple followed by 3rd couple dance up the middle between 2nd couple, divide and cast down around the 2nd couple dancing down the side to end 1st couple in 3rd place and 3rd couple in 2nd place.

Repeat with new top couple.
