Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 Ladies dance in for 2 bars, turn right about and dance out (2 bars), chase clockwise ½ way to opposite place
9-16 Ladies dance Fig of 8 in front of new partner, behind new partner and in front and behind corner to place
17-24 Men dance in for 2 bars, turn left about and out (2 bars), chase anticlockwise ½ way
25-32 Men dance Fig of 8 round own partner and corner
33-40 1s+3s dance R&L (end facing anticlockwise)
41-48 1s chase anticlockwise ¼ way and then "loop" LSh round side person (1L around 4L, 1M around 4M in 2nd place) and chase on to place. 3s dance similar, looping around 2s in 4th place
49-64 2s+4s repeat bars 33-48
65-72 Ladies dance RH across and LH across back
73-80 Men dance LH across and RH across (end facing corners)
81-88 All set to corners, set to partners and turn RH into prom hold
89-96 All Promenade anticlockwise to place
