Scottish Country Dance Instruction
THE RUBY REEL (R4x32) 4C set Edward (Ted) Willitt2s and 4s start on opposite sides
1- 8 1s set, turn RH, cast 1 place and turn LH to end between 2s (Man facing Lady)
9-16 1s+2s dance reel of 4 across and end in original places while 3s+4s circle 4H round and back
17-20 1L+2L also 3L+4L change places RH and set while 1M+2M also 3M+4M set and change places RH
21-24 1L+4L change places RH and set while 1M+4M set and change places RH
25-32 All circle 8H round to left for 6 steps, pivot left and chase back to places

Dance Information
A ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum (aluminium oxide). The red color is caused mainly by the presence of the element chromium. Its name comes from ruber, Latin for red.
