Ruston's Jig - Scottish Country Dancing Instruction VideoDance Information
This dance was devised by Helen Rabour in memory of John Ruston Simpson who died in February 2023.John's middle name was Ruston and he was proud of the connection with Rustons engines.
The Ruston firm supplied engines for all kinds of engines in the early 20th century, including tractors, early cars and aircraft.
This dance represents engine parts all working together.
Recommended music: any lively set of 5x32 jigs preferably containing 'A Jig for Judy'; suggested - John Cass on CD for book 49 or 'Vintage Simon' on CD for book 47
