When I (Don Bartlett) started playing for SCD, Ruth and Alex took me under their wings.

Alex had a wealth of knowledge and experience in playing SCD music and he generously shared his expertise and much music with me. He played lead accordion in our band, The Scotians. I spent many wonderful, late evenings at Ruth and Alex's home in Toronto.

This dance commemorates Ruth's return to the Scarborough SCD group at Glen Ravine School.
