Salut Malou 32-bar strathspey for three couples in a four-couple longwise set, Gervaise Vaz 2025, 6 Dances From Devon & Cornwall1- 8 1st couple, giving nearer hands, dance down below 3rd couple, casting up to 2nd place on own sides. 2nd couple step on bars 3-4. 1st woman and 3rd woman, giving left hands, turn one and a half times while 1st man and 2nd man, giving left hands, turn one and a half times, to finish 231 on the woman's side and 123 on the men's side
9-16 All 3 couples dance a Bourrel, to finish 312
17-24 3rd, 1st and 2nd couples dance six hands round and back. Finish by coming into the centre and joining hands with partner in promenade hold, all facing up.
25-32 3rd, 1st and 2nd couples dance an Allemande, to finish 213.
Repeat, having passed a couple.

The title of this dance is a play on the French "Salut", an informal greeting, and "Malou", a familiar shortened form of Marie-Louise.
"Salut" and "Malou" rhyme, so the title also reads as the rhyming greeting "Hi, Malou".
