Dance Information

The strathspey, Salute to Ian Robertson, was written to mark Ian B Robertson's 50th birthday.

Ian is well known for providing superb music for dancers with either his fiddle or accordion. However not many people are aware that Ian is also a proficient dancer.

This dance has been written so that the couples dance primarily with, or mirror, their partners and can be helped by the giving of hands.

The recommended music is Muriel Johnstone's Compliments to Ian Robertson.

(Dance information by Jane Rose, 2017)

Ian Robertson is a full-time musician playing keyboard, accordion and fiddle.

Ian plays at events like ceilidhs, weddings, Burns Night functions and Scottish Country Dancing venues all over the world.
