2 chords: 2nd chord 2s and 4s cross to opposite side

1- 8 1s+2s also 3s+4s Set and Rotate for 6 bars (set, cast 1 place round and change places RH with partner) and all set on sides. Men's side: 2M 2L 4M 4L, Ladies' side: 1L 1M 3L 3M
9-24 All dance Interlocking Ladies' Chains:
 9-12 Ladies dance ½ RH across (Men dance into partner's place), 1L+4M, 2L+3M, 3L+2M and 4L+1M turn LH
 13-16 ½ Ladies' Chain across: 1L+2L also 3L+4L change places RH (Men dance into place beside them) Ladies turn Man they meet
 17-24 Repeat bars 9-16 back to position at bar 8
25-32 All join hands on side, set and circle 8H ½ round, Bars 31-32: Ladies set while 1M+2M also 3M+4M change places RH
33-40 4s+3s+2s dance Circulating Knot:
 33-34 All turn RH into allemande hold, 4s+2s face down, 3s face up
 35-37 All dance ½ way round set (4s+3s start to Right, 2s curve to Left) Bar 29:- all release Right hands
 38-40 Men pass partners in front and all continue LH turn to sides. 2(3)4(1)

This dance, Sheila Of Morpeth, was written by Peter Avery (Newcastle And District Branch Of The RSCDS chairman) as a tribute to the contribution made by Sheila Trafford to Scottish country dancing as a teacher and an organiser.

Recommended music: The CD written to accompany the book of dances, "Newcastle Upon Tyne And District 70th Anniversary CD" with 8 tracks by Marian Anderson's Band and 8 tracks by Iain MacPhail's Band.
