Scottish Country Dance Instruction

SPINNING STONES (R8x32) 3C (4C set) Carola Fischer-Tress Merry Dancers 2

1- 8 1s ½ turn RH, face each other, drop hands and set, pulling back RSh to face again; 1s cross RH and cast 1 place on own side into middle to end with loop (Lady to right, Man to left) to face 3rd corner
9-12 1s dance ½ reel of 3 on sides giving RSh to 3rd corner (1M up, 1L down) and turn right about to face 2nd corner
13-16 1s dance ½ reel of 3 across giving RSh to 2nd corner and turn right about to face 1st corner
17-20 1s dance ½ reel of 3 on sides giving RSh to 1st corner (1M down, 1L up) and turn right about to face 4th corner
21-24 1s dance ½ reel of 3 across giving RSh to 4th corner and turn right about to end BtoB facing own side
25-32 1s dance Double triangles ending 2nd place own side (Optional - Bars 27+28, 31+32 1s may "twirl"). 213
