Gattonside is a small village situated in the Scottish Borders, approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) north of Melrose, on the northern bank of the River Tweed, Scotland.

In 1143, King David I granted the lands of Gattonside to the monks of Melrose Abbey. The village is connected to Melrose by the Gattonside Suspension Bridge, a 19th-century structure built in 1826. The bridge, which underwent repairs in 1992, is recognized as a Category B listed building.
