Scottish Country Dance Instruction

THE TEY MEDLEY (M-(S64+R64)) Sq.Set Pauline Taylor Imperial 4

Strathspey
1- 8 All set to partners and dance ½ Grand Chain, turn partners RH to end Ladies in centre facing partners
9-16 Ladies pass partners RSh and dance round clockwise to original places to meet 'new' partner
17-24 All circle 8H round and back
25-32 Men dance RH across ½ way, all turn original partners LH, ½ turn corners LH and face in diagonally with corner
33-40 1M+3M with corners advance and retire, 2M+4M with corners dance ½ R&L (end facing corner in 2 diagonal lines between corner's partners)
41-48 All dance diagonal reels of 4 (LSh to corner to start)
49-56 1M and 3M followed by their corners dance clockwise round outside to next corner position while 2M and 4M with corners dance LH across ¾ way to face original partners in 2 diagonal lines, all change places with partners RH to face in on sides and set
57-64 1L followed by 1M+4L+4M cast and dance clockwise to original positions while 3L followed by 3M+2L+2M cast and dance clockwise to original positions, all turn partners RH

Repeat in reel time but omit setting on bars 1-2, dancing half Grand Chain in six bars
