Reel   8 x 32 bars   3 Couple Repeat   4 Couple Set   Longwise Set

  1-4   1s cross and cast;

  5-8   1s dance in and down into mirror half reels of 3 on the sides;

  9-12 set and shadow link for 3 on the sides, finishing 2M3M1L on Mn's side, 1M2L3L on Ls':

  9-10 3s1s2s take hands on the sides and set;

11-12 as in set and link for 2 but with the middle and left end dancers in tandem and the right end dancers casting two places;

13-14 1s exchange places diagonally by the right, finishing facing out;

15-16 1L2L 3M1M turn halfway by the right, 2L 3M finishing facing out;

17-24 reels of 3 on the sides, 1M2M 1L3L giving left shoulder to start, 2L 3M finishing facing out;

25-28 1M3M 2L1L turn by the right;

29-32 2M1M 1L3L turn by the left.

The dance is dedicated to all those who do the voluntary work which keeps RSCDS Toronto running smoothly; it was devised specifically for the RSCDS Toronto Volunteer Appreciation Dance, 2017.

The recommended recorded music is The British Grenadiers by Jim Lindsay and his SCD Band on the RSCDS Book 49 CD.
