Watt Way Next? (J8x40) 40 bar Jig for 2 Couples in a 4 Couple Set, devised by Andrew Roberts.1- 4 1s and 2s dance ½ rights and lefts.
5- 8 1s cross RH, then ¾ turn 2s LH on sides to form line of 4 across (ladies in the middle).
9-16 2s and 1s dance the Targe:
9-10 1L and 2L ¾ turn RH while 1M and 2M dance ¼ way round anticlockwise.
11-12 1M and 2L also 1L and 2M full turn LH.
13-14 1L and 2L ¾ turn RH while 1M and 2M dance ¼ way round anticlockwise.
15-16 1M and 2L also 1L and 2M ¾ turn LH to end on sides in order 2(1).
17-24 All chase ½ way anticlockwise, then Petronella two places anticlockwise. 2(1).
25-32 1s dance ½ figure of eight around 2s. All turn RH.
33-40 All 4 couples circle round and back.
1s repeat with 3s from 2nd place.
1s repeat with 4s from 3rd place while original 2s and 3s repeat at the top.
Etc. 1s, 2s and 3s will dance the sequence three times each. Fours will only dance it twice.
