Scottish Country Dance Instruction
Weaving the Plaid 4x32 Reel for 4C (Square Set) by Sue McKinnell1-8 All dance interlocking ladies' chain: women dance RH across ½ way while men cast into partners' positions, men turn women LH once round; all repeat back to original places.
9-16 1C and 3C dance reel of 4 across the dance; to begin 1W and 3W pass RS and 1M and 3M cast into partners' places.
17-24 All dance interlocking rights and lefts: 2C and 4C cross RH while 1C and 3C change places with partners RH; 2C and 4C change places with partners LH while 1C and 3C cross LH; 2C and 4C cross RH while 1C and 3C change places with partners RH; 2C and 4C change places with partners LH while 1C and 3C cross LH.
25-32 Women petronella turn one place CCW around the set; men petronella turn one place CCW around the set; all turn partners LH once round.
Repeat 4 times.
