1- 8 1s lead down the middle, on bar 3 1s change sides with Lady dancing under Man's right arm, lead up and on bar 7 1s change sides again, 2s step in
9-16 1s+2s dance Allemande, 1s finish facing 1st corners
17-20 1s dance clockwise round 1st corners while 1st corners advance and retire. 1s pass RSh to face 2nd corners
21-24 1s dance clockwise round 2nd corners while 2nd corners advance and retire. 1s end 2nd place opposite sides
25-32 1s dance LSh reels of 3 across the dance (1s give LSh to 3rd corners to begin). On bars 31-32, 1s cross RH while 2s+3s loop into place

This dance was devised by Natty Kamikura for Richard Schmidt, Founder and Director of White Eagle Folk Dance Academy

The White Eagle Folk Dance Academy, founded in 2008, is a semi-professional dance ensemble made up of young adults and children around Montreal, dedicated to promoting, preserving and developing the folk dances of Poland, Canada and other cultures through classical and modern forms of dance.

Richard Schmidt taught Polish dances in Japan in 2013, 2015 and 2017.


The White Eagle Folk Dance Academy, established in 2008, is a semi-professional dance ensemble and registered Canadian Charity based in Montréal, Canada. Devoted to the promotion, preservation, and development of folk dance through classical and modern forms, the academy boasts a diverse repertoire showcasing the excitement and beauty of global folklore.

As a non-profit corporation in Québec, Canada, and a member of Folklore Canada International and Société Patrimoine de l'Expression du Québec, the academy aims to unite people from various backgrounds through a better understanding of each other's cultures and traditions. Its objectives include educating the public about Polish, Canadian, and other cultures' folk arts, organizing performances and events, teaching folklore under legal guidelines, and actively supporting charitable causes.

The academy continually expands its repertoire through rigorous rehearsals encompassing ballet, presentation techniques, vocal training, character and styling work, gymnastics, and authentic folk steps. Beyond showcasing Poland's national dances, they proudly present dances from Romania, Germany, Russia, Italy, the Rom people, and Canada. The academy collaborates with like-minded organizations globally and enjoys the support of the White Eagle Society of Montréal, celebrating over a century as a local institution.
