1- 8 All dance Snowball Chain for 4 couples (with each top couple turning RH):
 1s turn RH, 1s+2s change places LH on sides, 2s turn RH as 1s+3s change places RH on sides, 2s+3s also 1s+4s change places LH on sides, curving in towards centre to join nearer hands with partner. 2341
9-12 2s+3s also 4s+1s set advancing to change places (pass LSh), 3s+1s set advancing to change places while 2s and 4s turn partner 2H
13-16 2s+1s also 3s+4s set advancing to change places, all turn partner 2H, 1s and 4s retain hands and face down, 2s and 3s separate and face up. 1243
17-24 All dance reels of 4 on own side (Ladies pass LSh, Men RSh to start)
25-28 All continue path of reel (1 bar). Ladies dance LH across while Men RH across (1s+4s in centre facing down, 2s+3s on sides facing up to start)
29-32 2s followed by 3s dance up own sides while 4s followed by 1s dance down middle and cast up own sides. All face in and set. 2341
33-36 All turn partner 2H flowing into 2s+3s also 4s+1s circle 4H ½ round to left. (3)(2)(1)(4)
37-40 All circle 8H ½ round to left. 4123
