The title of this dance comes from the You're welcome, Charlie Stewart - Song anonymously published in "The Songs Of Scotland Prior To Burns" around the mid 18th century.

Chorus:
You're welcome, Charlie Stewart,
You're welcome, Charlie Stewart,
You're welcome, Charlie Stewart,
There's none so right as thou art.
