Dance Information

Aflooga is an acronym formed from the phrase "A Figure Lifted Out Of Glasgow Assembly".

Glasgow Assembly is a medley for four couples devised by Robert Campbell and published in 1973. The dance became familiar to Vallorie when she first learned it as a beginner in Scottish country dancing. During that time, one of the set figures from the dance made a particularly strong and lasting impression on her.

Recommended music: Tak Your Gun To The Hill (traditional), Highland Harry (traditional).
