Dance Information

Ruth Taylor also devised this strathspey, The Flower Of Glasgow, and dedicated it to Kay Munn of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

If I had to guess, I would say Ruth Taylor (from Ontario) dedicated this dance to Kay Munn as well - but that is only a guess!

Kay Munn learned Scottish Country Dancing at school in Glasgow, Scotland. She left Scotland in 1986 but rejoined the world of SCD in the USA where she attended classes with Terry Glasspool (deviser). In 2001 Kay joined RSCDS Kingston Ontario Branch and under its auspices gained her Teaching Certificate.

Kay has taught SCD at Pinewoods (a traditional dance and music camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts, beloved of Scottish country dancers) and has taught often at Mainewoods Dance Camp as well as teaching at a variety of other workshops and classes.
