Scottish Country Dance Instruction

The Fox River 4x32 Strathspey for 4C (Square Set) by Sue McKinnell

1-8 1C and 3C turn both hands once round, then cast around their corners to meet, 1W and 3M, 1M and 3W, take nearer hands and dance into set (between 4C and 2C, respectively) to face each other. 1W and 3M set to 1M and 3W.
9-16 8-bar reels across the set, beginning by 1C and 3C giving RS to partners, 2C and 4C stepping to right, end in same positions as begun.
17-20 1W and 3W cross RH and cast out, 1W between 3W's original position and 3W's original corner; 3W between 1W's original position and 1W's original corner, into opposite position.
21-24 1M and 3M cross LH and cast out into opposite's position (as in bars 17-20).
25-28 2C and 4C dance a half ladies' chain.
29-30 2M and 4M cross by RH to opposite position.
31-32 All circle 8 hands round to the left 1 place around the set, ending 2, 3, 4, 1.

Repeat 4 times.
