THE JUBILEE GREETING (S8x32) 3C (4C set) John Drewry Bankhead Book 5

1- 8 1s ½ turn 2H, set to each other in centre, cross RH and cast 1 place to face 1st corners
9-12 1s ¾ turn 1st corners 2H to face in diagonally (with corners on right of 1s) and 1s with corners set;
13-16 1s+corners drop hands, advance passing opposite person LSh, pull back LSh and dance LH across in centre. Corners dance back to place and 1s face 2nd corners
17-24 Repeat with 2nd corners ending facing 3rd corners
25-32 1s dance reels of 3 across giving RSh to 3rd corners and end in 2nd places

Dance Information

This strathspey, The Jubilee Greeting, was devised by John Drewry, and the music (The Homecoming) was composed by Moira Reekie, for the 1991 Silver Jubilee of the Ottawa Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

It was performed for the first time in public in Ottawa at the Ottawa Branch Homecoming Dance on November 16, 1991.
