LE CHARDON DU DAUPHINÉ (S4x32) 4C Set Kévin Piquemal The Walnut book 2

1- 4 1s and 4s Petronella turn and set while 2s set, ½ turn RH to end facing up as 3s set and ½ turn LH to end facing down
5- 8 1s and 4s Petronella turn and dance up/down the line (bars 7-8) to end 1s in 2nd place and 4s in 3rd place while 2s and 3s dance up/down and cast, 2s to 1st place and 3s to 4th place (all on opposite sides). (2)(1)(4)(3)
9-16 All dance ½ reels of 4 on the sides and ½ turn (2s and 4s RH, 1s and 3s LH) and twirl back to own sides. 3412
17-20 3s+4s also 1s+2s set and link. 4321
21-24 3s+1s advance and retire while 4s+2s advance and change places, 4s dancing under arch made by 2s and curve back to own sides. 2341
25-32 All dance 8H round and back. 2341

32-bar strathspey for four couples in a four-couple longwise set.

1 - 4 1st and 4th couples dance a petronella turn and set while 2nd couple set, turn right hand half-way to end facing up as 3rd couple set and turn left hand half-way to end facing down.
5 - 8 1st and 4th couples dance a petronella turn and dance up or down the line on bars 7-8 to end 1st couple in second place on opposite sides and 4th couple in third place on opposite sides while 2nd and 3rd couples dance up or down and cast 2nd couple to third position on opposite sides and 3rd couple to fourth position on opposite sides.
9 - 16 All dance a reel of four half-way and turn half-way (2nd and 4th couples right hand, 1st and 3rd couples left hand), then twirl back to own sides.
17 - 20 3rd couple with 4th couple and 1st couple with 2nd couple set and link.
21 - 24 3rd and 1st couples advance and retire while 4th and 2nd couples advance, change places (4th couple dancing under the arch made by 2nd couple) and curve back to own sides.
25 - 32 All dance eight hands round and back.
