Dance Notes

Possible variation for experienced dancers. Instead of retiring in bars 19-20 and 23-24 the corners could cast left shoulder back to place in bars 19-20 and right shoulder back in bars 23-24.

This adds some petal-like loops for the corners and also flows better into the final circle.

"Panot de Flor" refers to the decorative tiles commonly found on the sidewalks of Barcelona, Spain. These tiles feature a distinctive floral pattern with a stylized flower of four petals and are prevalent in many areas of Barcelona.

The Panot de Flor tiles originated in the early 20th century during a period of significant urban development in Barcelona. They were introduced as part of an effort to modernize and beautify the city's streets. The floral design is often attributed to the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, although this attribution is debated among historians.

Made from cement, the Panot de Flor tiles (the name panot derives from the French 'panneau') are designed to be durable and resistant to heavy pedestrian traffic and are found in both central and residential areas.

The Panot de Flor pattern is recognized as a cultural symbol of Barcelona. It is frequently reproduced in various forms, including souvenirs and public art (even graffiti!), reflecting its importance in the city's architectural and artistic heritage.
