Pedro De Luna's Strathspey (S4x32) 2C (4C set) Lewis N Derrick 2024

1-4 The 1st and 4th couples set to partners then the 1st couple casts off one place while the 4th couple casts up one place; the 2nd couple step up and 3rd couple step down
on bars 3-4
5-8 The 1st couple dances half a figure of eight around the 2nd couple while the 4th couple dances half a figure of eight around the 3rd couple to end 2143 on opposite sides
9-16 The 1st and 4th couples dance four hands round and back ending on sidelines 1st couple facing down, 4th couple facing up
17-20 The 1st and 4th women and 1st and 4th men set on sidelines and then using both hands change places, drop inner hands and open out to end 1st couple facing in and down, 4th couple in and up
21-24 The 4th couple dances half a figure of eight around the 2nd couple while the 1st couple dances half a figure of eight around the 3rd couple to end 2413 on own sides
25-32 The 4th and 1st couples dance rights and lefts

Repeat three more times from new positions each time

This was devised by Lewis Derrick to commemorate Pedro de Luna (1342-1423), Antipope Benedict XIII, who issued the papal bulls founding St Andrews University in 1413.
