THE RIVERWOOD DOWNS MEDLEY (M-(S3x32+R3x32)) 3C Set Julia Smith Hunter Valley Book 2Strathspey
1- 8 1s set advancing to lead down and cross below 3s and cast up round 3s to 2nd place on opposite sides. 1s turn ¾ LH to face 1st corners (2s step up on bars 3-4)
9-16 1s set to and turn 1st corner RH, pass LSh to face 2nd corners. 1s set to and turn 2nd corners RH to finish in 2nd place on opposite sides, 1L facing down, 1M facing up
17-22 2s+1s+3s dance LSh reels of 3 on the sides, 1s give LSh to 1st corners to begin
23-24 1s cross RH to 2nd place own sides
25-32 1s+3s dance Espagnole. 231
Repeat 1-32 twice more as Strathspey, then 3 times in Reel time

The Riverwood Downs Medley Medley-3x32 bar strathspey followed by 3x32 bar reel for three couples in a three couple longwise set. Julia Smith
1- 8 1st couple set advancing and lead down the set crossing over and cast up around 3rd couple to second place on opposite sides, then, giving left hands, turn three quarters to finish facing first corners. 2nd couple step up on bars 3 and 4.
9-16 1st couple set to first corners and, giving right hands, turn them, passing partner by the left to finish facing second corners. 1st couple set to second corners and, giving right hands, turn them to finish in second place on opposite sides, 1st woman facing up, 1st man facing down.
17-22 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance reels of three on the sides. 1st couple pass first corners by the left to begin.
23-24 1st couple, giving right hands, cross over to second place on own sides.
25-32 1st couple and 3rd couple dance an espagnole.
Repeat from new positions.

This dance was devised by Julia Smith.Colleges Scottish Country Dancing Class organises a dancing weekend at Riverwood Downs in November each year. This year will be the 40th Anniversary.
The Riverwood Downs Resort is by the Karuah River at Monkerai in NSW. This dance was written to celebrate the weekend.
Many thanks to the teachers, musicians and everyone else who help to provide this lovely event. What a fantastic weekend we have with great company, music, dancing, food, views and much more!
