"Toddler-Tyke" is a term from Scots dialect, and it is used as a colloquial term for a bumblebee.
In this context, "toddler" refers to something small or young, and "tyke" is a word used in some parts of Scotland to refer to a small dog or a child, but in this case, it is used affectionately for a small creature like a bumblebee.
The combination of the two terms, "Toddler-Tyke", evokes the image of a small, busy, and buzzing creature, much like a bumblebee.
