3/5/x40 Strathspey and/or Jig Featured Formatioms

1-8 DOWN MIDDLE, TURN UNDER and BACK: 1st and 3rd couples dance down middle nearer hands joined (2nd and 4th couples step up), change sides turning women under, and dance back to face man's 2nd corner;
9-16 SET TO 2ND CORNERS and DANCE ROUND: set to man's 2nd corner, swivel towards each other and set to woman's 2nd corner, THEN cast round woman's 2nd corner, end facing woman's 1st corner;
17-24 SET TO 1ST CORNERS and DANCE ROUND: set to woman's 1st corner, swivel towards each other and set to man's 1st corner, THEN cast round man's 2nd corner, end facing man's 2nd corner;
25-32 HAND-IN-HAND REEL OF 3 WITH 2ND CORNERS: Hand-in-hand reel of 3 with 2nd corners (start by passing man's 2nd corner by the right);
33-40 HAND-IN-HAND REEL OF 3 WITH 1ST CORNERS: Hand-in-Hand reel of 3 with 1st corners (start by passing woman's 1st corner by the right (active couples dance down one place ending in the middle ready to start again; supporting couple dance up one place on bars 31-32.
REPEAT 4 TIMES
