This dance was devised by Ross Gawler, an Australian Scottish country dance teacher based in Melbourne, Victoria.He and his wife, Margaret Gawler, teach the Waverley Scottish Society, a group founded in 1968 and based in Mount Waverley.
His other dances include The Eightsome Jig, and he has held senior positions within the RSCDS Melbourne and District Branch.
