Dance Information

Recommended Tune: CD Formation Foundations Blue by J Lindsay and his band, track 13, Red Roses.

(Dance information by the deviser, Gaye Collin, 2025)

This Strathspey was devised in early April 2025, prompted by the gentle and expressive tune Red Roses, performed by Jim Lindsay's band on the Formation Foundations CD. It was originally created to accompany a separate formation being prepared for the Lower Hutt Club's teaching video series, intended for their club website.

During that same week, while looking through old family photo albums, the deviser came across an image of Damon sitting on the floor, playing with their grandson Liam, who was around six months old at the time.

The warmth and affection in Damon's expression captured a deeply personal moment. That memory inspired the name of this dance: Love In His Eyes.
