16-Bar Figures

The following Figures require 16 bars of music; this is a relatively unusual Time allocation and so, even where it is the standard, some comment is included.

Axum reel:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.

Celtic reel:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.

Grand chain:
this Timing is rather sedate, especially in a Strathspey, but does allow more elegant movements. In the last 16 bars of The Eightsome Reel, the more spirited are tempted to complete the Grand chain early and so create Time for a Birl before the final chord.

Muxa reel:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.

Onesome reel:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.

Peter White reel:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.

Petronella:
the full Figure, i.e., Quarter petronella repeated four times, as defined in Figures.

Schiehallion reels:
the full form as defined in Complex Figures.
