Dancing Couple
The Dancing couple are the Couple who take the principal part in the Scottish Country Dance, usually the Top couple but not always so, especially in some 3 Couple repeat in 3 couple sets as, for example, in The Lanes of Au in which 2nd couple have the main role.In some 4 Couple repeat in 4 couple sets, 1st and 3rd Couples, 2nd and 3rd Couples or 1st and 4th Couples are both Dancing couples.
In most 5 Couple repeat in 5 couple sets, 1st and 3rd Couples are both Dancing couples.
